Nepal Rastra Bank Urges Banks to Conduct Financial Literacy Programs for Global Money Week 2023
Nepal Rastra Bank has recently called on all banks and financial institutions in Nepal to participate in the upcoming Global Money Week 2023 by organizing financial literacy programs. The initiative, which will take place from March 20th to 26th, aims to raise awareness about the importance of financial education among people, particularly children and youth.
The event is part of a worldwide effort to promote financial literacy among young people, providing an opportunity for organizations to engage with them and teach them about fundamental financial concepts such as saving, budgeting, and investing. Nepal Rastra Bank hopes that this initiative will promote financial responsibility and contribute to overall economic growth in the country.
As part of the program, Nepal Rastra Bank has requested that the information on the financial literacy program be provided to the Financial Literacy Unit under the Office of the Governor of the National Bank within 7 days of its completion for evaluation. By encouraging financial literacy programs, Nepal Rastra Bank believes that it will have a positive impact on the country’s economy in the long run.
